Your current declarations page
The “dec page” is the summary at the front of your policy: vehicles, drivers, coverages, limits and premium. It lets Carly compare like-for-like and spot anything that has drifted. If you do not have it, your carrier’s app or portal usually has it as a PDF.
Vehicles
Year, make, model and VIN for each car. The VIN is on the dashboard at the base of the windshield, on the door jamb sticker, and on your registration. Note how each car is used — commute, pleasure, business, delivery — and roughly how many miles a year.
Drivers
Everyone licensed in the household, with dates of birth and license numbers. Mention anyone with a permit, anyone away at school, and anyone who drives a company car.
The decisions you want reviewed
Your PIP medical level, bodily injury limits, collision and comprehensive deductibles, and whether you want rental reimbursement, roadside or gap coverage. You do not need to know the answers — just know that these are the questions.
This guide is general information about insurance in Michigan, not advice about a specific policy. Coverage depends on the policy’s terms, limits, exclusions and eligibility, and a request does not bind or change insurance.
